fall pictures

i came across some pictures that i took and intended to upload, but never did because i got busy on my remodel project.  even though the season is past i thought they were still worth sharing.  with all the snow we've been getting i could go for a few days that looked like this. :-)

 

winter '09

for those of you who aren't lucky enough to have snow to play in here are some pix of my kids enjoying it a few weeks ago.  it's been a somewhat unusual winter for us as we've had snow on the ground since the beginning of january.  typically it'll snow for a week or so then get to about 35-40 degrees and turn everything to mud for a few weeks and then the cycle starts over again.

westward ho

robert and i flew out to utah and spent about a week visiting with angela and her family.  the highlight of our trip was each of us putting skis on for the first time ever.  a friend from angela and ryan's church offered to give us some pointers about skiing and with some luck we were all able to stay upright for at least 4.5 seconds.  :)  actually robert was a natrual just like he is at any sporting activity he tries, and the rest of us spent a good deal of time on our backsides, frontsides, bottomsides, topsides, and just about every other side.  no broken bones, however so the final score rookies:4 | mountain:0

family room remodel

here at last are the pictures of the major remodel project that i had been working since the middle of october. the project was to completely rennovate the family room and downstairs bathroom and the goal was to have it completed in time for christmas. the family room is a 22' x 21' room and the bathroom is bathroom is 9' x 4' with a 48" shower stall. i was putting the finishing touches on it christmas eve morning. which was a little closer to the deadline than i had hoped, but it was before the deadline. :-)
